It wasnt just the gameplay that made CH a failure. The entire game experience ruined it.

It is a game that I want to enjoy, but you are right that this isn't the game I wanted. I'm just glad that it will be on the 360 because there is no way I would be able to get into it if it was only on the PC.

I agree with you Pok.  I think the MA guys need to realize its not going to be what they think.  this game is going to be a sim-ish mech game.  meaning the arcade nonsense button mashing fun of MA will not be there.

it may be a good game, but the pace will be much slower and more realistic.  

I wish smith and tinker had forums.

I want to start putting a primer together to get us MechAssault® Heads ready for the changes.  If we're more versed with the MechWarrior universe and game play, then chances are we'll be more ready to enjoy the nuances of the game instead of fixating on what is not.

A little home work will be necessary from all of us.  However, I think some of us can do a lot of the heavier lifting and provide the rest of us with some good summaries.

I'm still kicking these ideas around in my head, so if you're interested in helping with this send me a private message.

Well with MW4 will probably be a good way to get an idea of how it will play, especially since it will soon be free to download.

I don't think it'll be much worse then MA2. MA2 doesn't feel like an arcade shooter too me, more like a camping sim. I mean everyone gos and sets up on their own hill and sits there for 10 mins. That's where alot of my negativity towards MA2 comes from for me. I didn't play MA1 online very long only about a month, but i had alot more fun getting owned on there.

Precisely,  Once it becomes free, I want to get as many people from here on it and to start working on some of the nuances of the game.

I started doing this a year ago, but some major life issues collided with my intentions.  Well it looks like I need to smooth things over with Axen because, as far as he's concerned I dropped off the face of the earth... Chaotic knows what that is like.  hheeheheehe.

Supposedly in development for both PC and console. With a MechWarrior game not released in the last 7 years they appear to be interested in drawing both PC and console gamers back to this franchise, while also drawing in the tabletop fanatics, so be prepared for a catastrophic or excellent blending of three completely different gaming atmosphere's.
